The "USA! USA!" chants at the Republican convention are just cracking me up. It's just an absolute caricature of the chest-thumping bull-headed American. The olympics are over, folks. This isn't the USA party convention.
Also, does anyone else find it a bit rich to hear Mit Romney railing against the "Eastern elite"?!
Listen, whiny liberal... we can't help it if our candidate doesn't have a name like "Obama" that lends itself to chanting. So what is a mob of Republicans all jazzed up on fried food, caffeinated beverages, and Sarah Evans to do? They have to chant something. It's tradition! It's the freakin' American Way!
It's just a good thing Guiliani isn't running. Can you imagine chanting that? Although "Rudy" has a nice ring to it.
